Working on the house

A few little housing projects around the Stone household

We finally have a real bed in the guest room
My aunt and uncle gave us this bed when we visited for his birthday
Sadly Uncle David passed this month and I am so thankful to have a reminder of him like this in our home
Some grey chalk paint and it's good to go
Man how I want to change the paint in this room
I envision dark colors but I hate painting walls so it will probably stay this way for awhile
Cheap Craigs list table for the kitchen nook
It was $30 so obviously it was in pretty rough shape
Kaleb getting in on some painting action
Some cleaning, sanding, painting, and staining and we have a table
I am having the hardest time finding curtains for this space so send suggestions my way!

Next up is our entry way wall..it was empty
Beadboard was the solution we needed
 Holding up the wall
All up and getting some paint
The plan is to build a bench and obviously put something on the walls but the change is already great

Board and batten in the bathroom
This ended up being kind of a pain but I love it.
Same story here. Need to find hooks and stuff for the walls.
So that is a few little things we have been fitting in around here.
Currently working on redoing a coffee table so maybe in a month or so I will have that done ;)

If Ned Flanders ran Las Vegas

So I'm very behind with the family updates but hopefully this will be a distraction from the unhappy week our family has had.
End of summer trip to Branson.
Kaleb's first time on a roller coaster and it's been love ever since.
Getting ready for more water rides
 Exploring some caves
 Apparently it's Christmas year round
Love the cotton candy
An old fashioned ice cream shop

We spent lots of time at this pool
 Even at night...

Watching a movie by the pool

Not so Mellow Yellow

The nice mid-week break for the Fourth of July allowed a painting project to finally get wrapped up.
Taking this armoire from red to yellow was much more time consuming than I had planned for but I am loving the brighter color.
It stands out against our dark grey walls. Now to find some permanent decor for the top and finish up decorating this den wall.
Slowly but surely it is becoming a real room.
The Fourth wasn't just spend painting though.
We saw the new Spiderman movie and Kenny grilled some amazing pizzas.
We kept it low key around here because the next day our little guy had his first (and hopefully last ) surgery.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of hearing Kaleb sleep knows he has quite a snoring problem.
A trip to the doctor revealed those tonsils and adenoids had to go.
He was very brave during the whole process and is recovering very well.
Hope everyone had a lovely Fourth!

Summer time

So summer is here and life is busier than ever.
Between our work, school, and travel schedules Kenny and I have not had an abundance of free time. Kaleb has been keeping just as busy going to various camps and grandparents houses. There has been a little bit of fun despite the packed schedules.

Since the library is within walking distance Kaleb wants to go and pose with the pirate ship on a weekly basis

 Fathers Day

Kenny's new toy
The most awesome card for my dad
Kaleb went back to college
We've been squeezing in a couple of house projects so we've spent a few Saturday morning at Ace
Kaleb is fond of the chairs. Updates on the home soon.
Kenny and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary.
It was a very fancy affair that consisted of the following

At least we didn't cook our own dinner

This winery can do no wrong
 Actually a hilarious movie

I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer!
